Technical valve assembly guide

The X-Sauce tubeless fine valve (Presta type) is compatible with: NON TUBELESS rims and TUBELESS rims.
In case of NON TUBELESS rims it is compatible: whether they have a thin valve hole or a fat valve hole.
And in case of TUBELESS rims it is compatible with both square centre channel rims (Mavic type) and round centre channel rims (Shimano type).

For square centre channel cases (Mavic type) the tubeless valve is used without any additional seals.

In the case of round centre channel (Shimano type), it may be helpful to fit the flat gasket.

NO TUBELESS thick rims (Schraeder)

For tubeless rims with a thick valve hole (Schraeder), it is normal to use only the conical seal, as supplied when buying the blister pack of 2 thin tubeless valves or the tubeless kit.

If the bore of your rim is too large and the conical seal will squeeze through the bore itself, we have special seals for rims with extra-large valve bores (see below).

NON TUBELESS rims with fine valve bore

For tubeless rims NOT TUBELESS with thin valve bores (at least if the hole is thin on the inner side of the rim where the valve sits). then use the conical seal but in an inverted form, so that the wide part of the seal is against the rim and the thin part against the rubber block of the thin valve itself.

Included in valve kits and blister packs.

In some cases, only if necessary, the two seals can be mounted one after the other to reinforce the seating of the valve on the rim.

Se puede dar el caso que la llanta al ser de perfil alto provoque que la válvula apenas sobresalga para poder roscar la tuerca de apriete.

En este caso podemos reemplazar la junta cónica por la junta plana, ganando unos milímetros.

Gasket for extra-large rim holes

Finally there is the option of the new gasket for extra-large rim holes.

Sold separately in blister packs of 2 units.
It is used only in case of rims with extra-large diameter valve bores, where the conical and flat seals do not seat well.
In this case, the gasket is placed after the rim base has been fitted, it is pressed in and must be helped to seat well. Once it is in place, the tubeless valve is inserted, which enters and acts as an expansion sleeve, remaining perfectly seated and adjusted.
